• Early Bird Registration Now Open for VideoSchmooze:NYC on Nov. 30th

Early bird discounted registration for the next VideoSchmooze:NYC Online Video Leadership Forum, on Wednesday morning, Nov. 30th, is now available. This will be the 8th VideoSchmooze that VideoNuze has hosted and it promises to be the best yet, packed with lots of learning and networking with industry leaders in an expanded morning format from 7:30am-11am at the Harvard Club of NYC.

Following breakfast, the program will begin with Eric Kessler, co-president of HBO, discussing HBO GO, the network's highly successful online/mobile TV Everywhere app. Eric will provide an update on key usage metrics and what's ahead. Then I'll do a fireside chat with Eric where we'll delve into larger industry issues including over-the-top challenges from Netflix, Hulu, Google/YouTube, Amazon and others, the changing landscape for premium video online and TV Everywhere's status.

Following Eric's session, we'll have two panel discussions, "Online Video Advertising: Opportunities and Challenges for 2012" and "Delivering Value for the Multi-Platform Consumer." The advertising panel will include Tracey Scheppach (SVP, Innovations Director, VivaKi, Starcom Mediavest Group), who has driven key innovations such as the ASq video ad format, Suzie Reider, head of ad sales for YouTube and Google Display and others. YouTube has been a leading force in transitioning video ads to a performance-based model with its "True View" format.

The Multi-Platform panel will include Marc DeBevoise (SVP/GM, CBS Interactive's entertainment division), Marcien Jenckes (SVP/GM Video Services, Comcast Cable) and others who will focus on how content providers and distributors are adapting themselves to successfully meet new consumer expectations. This discussion will include topics such as the role of connected and mobile devices, social media, business models, analytics and video discovery, among others.

The program will offer attendees valuable insights into all areas of online video's surging growth. VideoSchmooze is a must-attend event for executives responsible for their companies' online video efforts who need to stay on the cutting edge. The morning will also include lots of Q&A and networking time. Lead sponsors for this VideoSchmooze include Irdeto and Tremor Video, and supporting sponsors Akamai Technologies, One Touch Intelligence and TidalTV (additional sponsorship opportunities are available, please contact me if interested).

I look forward to seeing you on Nov. 30th!
