Tremor Taps Jha To Lead Publisher Partnerships, SSP Launch

Video ad tech company Tremor Video on Thursday announced the appointment of Manish Jha as president, publisher platforms. He will oversee the company’s launch of a sell-side platform (SSP) for programmatic video advertising.

“Our longstanding relationships with the leading publishers give us a unique understanding of their digital marketing needs and how they can achieve success in the complex and rapidly evolving video advertising sector,” stated CEO Bill Day. Tremor’s publishing partners include A+E Networks, Viacom and Warner Bros. and others, per a release. 

Jha was previously general manager, mobile for the National Football League (NFL). He was also president and CEO of SkyWeaver and spent over 15 years at ESPN.

“Consumers are adopting digital video, particularly mobile video, at an exceptionally fast pace,” stated Jha.

The move comes just one month after Tremor tapped Neeraj Kochhar as its head of buy-side platforms. Kochhar leads the company’s demand-side platform (DSP) operations.

    TRMR has had some pretty good hires, but for every new senior hire they've made, it was in response to 3-5 long-time senior leaders who had left.

    Is the fact that Tremor is attempting to run a DSP, SSP and an Ad Network the reason for the sub $3 stock price? Bill Day did a miserable job trying to answer that question during the last earnings call.
