Sesame Street Will Move From HBO to HBO Max Next Year

5-year deal includes 4 new series and access to the show's 50-season library

Sesame Street is on the move again—this time to a streaming service.

The iconic children’s television series, which relocated to HBO in 2015, is now headed for WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service, HBO Max.

The move is part of a new content partnership deal with Sesame Workshop, covering five new seasons of Sesame Street, four new series, annual series and Sesame Street’s 50-year library.

Starting with Season 51, Sesame Street will debut on HBO Max and will be available on PBS approximately nine months later.
