FOTV, the folks who brought you Whitney Houston's hologram and the ads on more than 20 Roku streaming device channels with OVGuide, announced today that it would offer a library of more than 500 streaming titles and 50,000 on-demand videos free on Roku.

The channels are linear streams of extremely specialized content, supported by ads. They include everything from drone racing, which launched this summer, to religion; news to shopping; wrestling to kids' channels; and a wide variety of other offerings. Some of FOTV's channels are subscription-only, but those who pay to see them on FilmOn.com will have access to additional channels on their Roku devices.

The on-demand content is also free and ad-supported, and includes movies, music, TV shows, videos and documentaries. The FOTV app will appear on Roku streaming players, the Roku Streaming Stick and Roku TV models. It also runs on iOS and Android devices, and comes preloaded on Lenovo PCs.

"The FOTV Channel brings a rich library of on-demand and live content to Roku users," said Alki David, Founder and CEO of FOTV Media Networks Inc., in the company's release. "By partnering with Roku, we're able to extend the potential reach of our ad supported programming, which includes hundreds of channels across sports, news, movies, and music, as well as our patented hologram content to millions of Roku devices."

Roku users who don't immediately see the app can add it for free by visiting the Roku store.
