Verizon Names Former YouTube Exec Ivana Kirkbride Chief Content Officer For Go90

Former YouTube executive Ivana Kirkbride has been tapped by Verizon to serve as chief content officer for its Go90 video platform. Kirkbride worked at YouTube for four years, concluding her tenure as head of unscripted original content, where she helped develop several YouTube Red series, including Sing It!, Escape The Night, and Prank Academy. Most recently, Kirkbride served as vice president and head of content for Vessel.

Kirkbride will be based in Los Angeles and will be tasked with developing original series and channels for Go90, according to Recode, which was first to report the hire. She will report to Chip Canter, Verizon’s GM of digital entertainment and Go90, according to Variety.

Vessel CEO Jason Kilar said in a statement: “We wish Ivana well in her next adventure with Go90 and are very thankful for the time Ivana invested in serving creators here at Vessel.”
