Is ‘Seinfeld’ heading to Netflix?

Jerry Seinfeld says his iconic NBC series “Seinfeld” could be available on Netflix.

Seinfeld made the remark Thursday while doing a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) interview when he was asked, “Jerry, any word on ‘Seinfeld’ coming to Netflix?”

“You are a very smart and progressive person,” Seinfeld answered. “These conversations are presently taking place.”

Reruns of “Seinfeld” have been available for free on broadcast television for years via syndication.

The series, which ended in 1998, airs 11 p.m. weeknights on WPIX/Ch. 11 in New York.

The complete series is also available on DVD, and there are currently 10 episodes of “Seinfeld” available on crackle.com, which also streams Seinfeld’s ongoing series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”
