Your Xbox 360 is about to get a lot more action-packed.

GroPro on Monday morning officially launched its channel app for Microsoft's Xbox 360, letting Xbox Live Gold members stream GoPro video content on-demand. If you're inspired by the footage, you can also purchase GoPro cameras and accessories directly through the app.

To celebrate the launch, GoPro is releasing two exclusive videos for the Xbox 360 community over the next two weeks — one showcasing trick shot basketball footage (check it out below) and the other a snowmobile "cliff huck" montage featuring snowcross champion Brett Turcotte.

"The GoPro Channel app will bring the best of GoPro originally produced and user-generated content into the homes of millions of Xbox Live Gold customers," Adam Dornbusch, GoPro's head of content distribution, said in a statement. "We're excited to launch with exclusive content for early adopters of the app and stoke out the Xbox 360 community with hours of engaging and inspiring GoPro videos through the channel."

The action camera maker also plans to launch a channel app for the Xbox One ($200.00 at eBay), but those with the next-gen Microsoft console will have to wait until this summer to get in on the GoPro action. In the meantime, Xbox One gamers can check out the type of content headed for their console over at the GoPro YouTube channel.

The new Xbox apps are part of an effort by GoPro to expand its reach beyond just YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Vimeo. The company in October 2013 launched a channel on Virgin America's in-flight entertainment platform, and expects to announce additional content partnerships later this year.
