Ooyala Launches Online and Multi-Screen Video Content Protection System Integrated with Adobe Flash Access

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--()--Ooyala, Inc., the leading online video technology and services company today announced that Ooyala’s online video platform now integrates with Adobe® Flash® Access® software. The new offering combines the leading video publishing, management, analytics and monetization solution with Adobe’s robust cross-platform content protection offering to provide seamless accessibility and scalability for high-quality video delivered online and on device via Adobe Flash technology. The integration enables content providers and media companies to more effectively monetize content through a variety of models in a shorter time to market.

The integration allows for quick and easy deployment of Adobe Flash Access as part of Ooyala’s online video technology offering. Flash Access is a content protection and monetization solution that protects delivery of professional video content, including video on demand, rental and electronic sell-through.

Yahoo! Japan, the largest video publisher in Japan, has adopted Flash Access in its use of Ooyala’s technology to comply with content protection as it delivers professional video to the over 99 million Internet users in Japan.

Adobe has seen an overall 100 percent year-over-year growth in video streaming via Flash, reaching 120 petabytes a month according to ComScore. As one of the largest deployments of Flash Access and content protection, Ooyala is enabling large media companies to create direct-to-consumer products across multiple devices. The integrated offering is available now.
