Maker Studios, the Disney-owned multichannel network, will produce at least eight original series as well as live events for Verizon‘s Go90 free mobile-video service, including content based on the Mouse House’s “Star Wars” franchise and Marvel comics.

The Maker original series on Go90 will span genres including comedy, dance and tech. In addition to original series, the Verizon wireless-video service — aimed at mobile-oriented millennial users — will carry thousands of short-form videos from Maker’s library refreshed monthly, and will eventually add more than 100 hours of live Maker event coverage from fan events worldwide.

Maker’s “Geekenders,” a cross-country adventure series starring YouTube gaming stars Jesse Cox and Brooke Lawson (“PressHeartToContinue”), is currently live on Go90. The series follows the pair on a road trip across the U.S. where they seek out “geek” alternatives to the usual tourist spots.
