TWC Ads Tout New Apps, Services

While Comcast, AT&T and Charter Communications have recently introduced ads that take jabs at each other or mock recent merger activity, Time Warner Cable is taking a different tack with a set of new spots that tout recent upgrades and the introduction of new services and apps.

While not calling out the effort in the ads by name, the new spots tie into TWC Maxx, the MSO’s all-digital upgrade initiative that features a larger VOD library, an “enhanced” HD-DVR with six tuners, and faster Internet speeds. Others talk up the MSO’s expanding metro WiFi network, in-home WiFi capabilities, Phone 2 Go app, and its authenticated TWC TV apps for connected devices.

TWC, which will report Q3 results on Thursday (October 29) and is in the process of being acquired by Charter, said the following spots began airing this week:
