Jamie Kennedy has his sights set on doing an online series.
The actor/TV host told The Hollywood Reporter on Sunday at the third annual Streamy Awards — where he presented the award for best male performance in a comedy — that he has been talking to several people about the possibility.

“I have been thinking of maybe doing it on a peek into my life, a faux reality,” he said on the red carpet of the event, which was streamed live from the Hollywood Palladium. “I think there is a world for it and it’s the only way to really express what you want.”
Singer-songwriter Vanilla Ice also hit the carpet before his performance at the awards, which recognize excellence in original online video. The “Ice, Ice Baby” rapper said he was honored to perform at the award show because online media is “a really good avenue for people who are trying to make it today in entertainment … to get exposure. It’s amazing to see so much talent come from online.”
Meanwhile, platinum-selling artist Soulja Boy, who also performed at the awards show, noted that his online success has landed him big opportunities outside of music.
“I’ve gotten roles in the movie world, my own clothing line, my own factory, my own brand, endorsement deals, and I got to work with Lil Wayne,” he told THR.

Also during the show, Epic Rap Battles of History members Nice Peter and Lloyd Ahlquist performed their viral famed comedic rap battles between historical and/or pop culture figures. The team, who have earned more than 700 million YouTube views for their videos, say they look to their audience for how the show should be.
“All the suggestions are pulled from the audience every episode, we don’t come up with them ourselves,” said Nice Peter (aka Peter Shukoff). “We are always talking to our audience about where their lines are and where our lines are, it’s kind of a collaboration between the two.”
Drew Baldwin, creator of the Streamy Awards, told THR that the awards show, which was produced by Dick Clark Productions and Tubefilter, is important because what is happening online is “very distinct from any other entertainment media.” He noted that the magic of using online media as a distribution platform is why “it is attracting talent from both people who come up from their basement and people who are huge stars like Tom Hanks.” (Hanks was nominated for best animated series for Electric City.)
